Beach Time

During our one week trip to L.A. we spent most of our time in Santa Monica. We just love it there! We spent a lot of time just hanging out on the beach, and on the Santa Monic pier. 

We also drove up to Malibu and had cocktails at a little restaurant on the water, while the sun was setting. And we found this great Mexican restaurant in Santa Monica which served the best Margaritas!

I miss California!

A day at The Grove

On our third day in California we spent the whole morning and half of the afternoon at The Grove, which is an outdoor shopping area, with many restaurants, and is also connected to the Farmer's Market, where we had breakfast. 

We did some shopping, had a couple drinks, saw Mario Lopez, and had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. Overall we had an amazing time at The Grove, definitely recommend you visit it the next time you're in LA! For more information on The Grove, check it out here.

First day in California!

We arrived to L.A. on Saturday evening, after an exhausting journey from London Heathrow to LAX we finally landed, only a couple hours delayed. Once finally getting out of LAX we went to Hertz to pick up our car.. where we were greeted by an amazing Hertz employee who suggested we upgrade with the Easter special, and we got ourselves one sexy little car! ;) Thank you Hertz! 

We stayed at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, which we will definitely be returning to in the future! I absolutely recommend it! It's in a great location and the hotel from the rooms, to the service was impeccable! Not the mention that it's also home to The Bazaar by José Andrés, which I recommend for amazing cocktails!

So our first full day in California was on Sunday, which we decided to spend in Santa Monica. I love Santa Monica! The pier, the 3rd street promenade... great food, great shopping, great weather! It was the first day and I already knew I wouldn't want to leave..
